here are some of my original typings + scribbly notes
from the rough draft of "all i did was listen".
i came across them as i began to
finally clear a space
from the four years of making.
i need to
for anything new
to really emerge.
i have two manuscripts i've partially begun
+ i'd like to return to them.
i wonder if anyone would want these pages...
what i do know is i need to let them go.
in this spirit, i will give them in two parts to the next two people
who order my book here http://rachelawes.com
(please note "pages" in the note in your order +
i will announce the winners on my facebook page)
with love to all your emptyings + emergings,
What if I
just sit here right now and maybe forever sipping tea and poetry,
breathing in each word like it's
all that will
keep me alive Listening as the right
now wild rain grows wilder just the two
of us side by side pouring our
thirsty hearts all over the
you, the one
reading these words
your ancient, wanting heart
wondering if you'll ever
get it right
I invite you
for a moment
to listen to
to the space
to the space
asks you to
to stop the
voices that compare
There is no
there are no
shadows or shoulds, no pretty or good
no bad or
broken, no right or wrong in
only this breath
which breathes it
giggling, fully blossomed
