I am not meant to fit in? Yes, I know that now - if I only had known that as a child... :-)
Lovely drawing Rachel!

My all-time favourite would have to be the peacock whisperer.
Peacock feathers were the theme that tied my wedding together.
I think today's image would have to come a close second... for reasons that any questioning soul would understand.
Thank you for shining your light so brightly on my world.
You are love.

Oh Rachel, I love each of your pieces, and I just spent 15 minutes looking at all of your pieces on Etsy with tears in my eyes, your work touches such a deep cord within me. It is really hard for me to pick a favorite, I looove the treasure every beat one (I loved Kelly Rae's mention of you!) but since that's not in your Etsy shop I think that I'd say, The Last Number, and Speak the Truth. I also follow your blog, am a fan on FB! xoxo

Oh I love so many of your lovely art prints, but the one I would choose is the Bluebird-colorful print. http://www.etsy.com/listing/66330182/blue-bird-colorful-print-rachel-awes

Sometimes we all need a bluebird to come to our rescue!

Crossing my fingers to be pulled out of that hat.

Now this is the kind of medicine we all need! We would be lying to ourselves if we say that we don't need this. From the time we come out of the womb we are being challenged with everything!!! It's a wonder some of us make it at all. Life comes with it challenges for all of us, but these are the things the make us who we are. We spend so much of our lives trying to fit in and be like and never really tap into who and what we are. I am more than black, female, wife and mother, sister and aunt or daughter. I am more than an artist and singer. I am a living soul with purpose and spirit and breathe and lots of love to give. I figure, if I spend all my time trying fit in, then I am missing the purpose of life which is to stand out he he he he! This was such inspiration for me today.
Shalom to you Rachel
