a true story

remember my post about deer life (dated june 11, 2010)? well, one recent morning, i had my first cup of coffee & imagined a deer standing right next to me & got teary & it felt beautifully real.
i left from there to head off to the grocery store & on my way back...

i saw a deer. i pulled off the road & talked to this beautiful being for a moment & looked into eyes that reflected everything good & lovely & true & full of promise. oh my goodness, imagine all YOU sit near! xox

(& more art coming next week/i promise!)

I love how you opened your hands to the gift so that you were watching when it came near.....you didn't miss it! Then you scooped it up and held it to your heart, not wasting a drop. Your grateful heart touches and softens mine:) -Jennifer

I have had several deer around our Maine house this summer. My husband has been in Texas with his ill mother and I feel these amazing creatures are somehow watching over me. So amazing!

I love it when things like this conspire to happen. I've always felt that animals seem to respond in this way; maybe we sense their presence ahead of time, maybe they sense an openness in us and respond magically -- either way it's a blessed event and reminds me of our deep connection with nature. Thanks for stopping by today, Rachel!
