yep, a dose of messiness, a smidgen of pain oftentimes and maybe a little of giving up the bad, or even the good for the better. But oh the freedom on the other side....

Grace and peace

I am thinking about this
we are being in such a big mess here just now

wishing to be free of it

dear deer
i once gave a talk on how there is a stark difference between what the bottom of our stitchings of life look like when compared to the top.
like a tapestry.
the part that everyone sees and admires is beautifully woven and clear and precise...
but if one was to peek underneath. at all the hard work and the crossed stitches and the broken threads and the starts and stops and the knots and the tangles...you would NEVER believe that all of that mess could produce something so exquisite on the other side.
isn.t life a beautiful tangled mess of colorful threads that we get to weave into place?
i love you dear.
LOVE your piece here too.
and
your stitching...now i have to find something entirely different to SWAP with you because you have the needle and thread thing down girlfriend....
DOWN!!!
smooch

I love it! I was going to submit something, but couldn't come up with anything momentous! I am glad someone else was able to express for the rest of us!
I added new pictures of my photo book on my blog if you want to take a look!

Brilliant! Isn't that great, a little reminder of freedom to follow you wherever you go. I love the way your mind works. You see a chaotic mess on the back and it makes you think of something wise. If it were me, it would just tell me that no matter how tidy I may appear on the outside, I'm still a mess in private. HA!

Have a wonderful weekend. Love and hugs!

Rachel, dear! We all need reminders but this stitching looks like it took a lot of effort to create that mess. Hahaha! Oh what am I? I am a mess and I want to be free, but I am not free. That's just the way it is. I don't think humans are really free. We have so many needs. Life demands our attention and to say that we are free is rather fooling ourselves, isn't it? That's just my opinion, of course and you may refute it, most certainly. We try to be free, we want to be free, but FREEDOM requires OBLIGATIONS. Our individual selves are a part of a greater, bigger thing, of family, of workplace, of community, of country, of humanity. We have to ensure that our freedom does not violate the freedom of another and therefore that is not true freedom. Death makes us free. Living makes us want to live freely, but almost always something has to be done and a need wants to be satisfied.

Brilliant!

I will embrace the messiness with you.

By the way, in the "messy" stitching, I see a very cute puppy. I'm wondering if anyone else sees it, or if I just happen to have dogs on the brain. ;)
