listening to you

listening to you

this lovely artist is lise meijer
***
Lise works as a self-employed artist and is also a singer and music teacher. She loves stories and layers in life, and in anything she creates or surrounds herself with. After giving birth to her first child at age 35, she found the drive to begin giving birth to some of her deep career dreams, including painting and selling her art. She created a series of postcards and illustrated a book. She also teaches courses about creativity.

When Lise isn´t painting or doing family stuff, you may find her with a guitar in her lap, singing and writing songs. Musicality seems to run through her life and art, and she often paints with music on. Lise graduated in Visual Arts in Copenhagen and has in recent years developed her style to include "mixed media" paintings, using different materials such as buttons, paper, lace, etc.

She lives in Denmark on the island Sjælland, about an hours drive from Copenhagen with her dutch husband and 2 children afe 9 and 6. Shortly the families newly built house will be ready and Lise can´t wait to get a studio and a bathtop, which for her is one of the best places to receive images for creative inspiration.

AND

this lovely artist is: nolwenn petitbois

Nolwenn is a self-taught Mixed Media artist. Dreamer. Lover. Passionate. Gratitude Warrior. Bookaholic. Cook. Art Journaler...

She came to Mixed Media because she could not decide on only one medium to use in her artwork and it makes her feel more free to experience whatever her heart feels called to.Nolwenn's artwork usually represents powerful whimsical women (she called them «Nixies») who have a strong positive message to deliver to the Universe, to you. She believes in the strong power of Positive Affirmations and of Gratitude, that both guide her all along in my creative process. Healing is a huge part of her life path, she is now also a Practical Reiki Master and noticed how it shfted the way it affects her way to do her art.Nolwenn is also an art journaler and is currently a teacher in the art journaling collaborative playground 21 Secrets that opened its doors in spring 2012.

Both artists work is touching and beautiful. It never ceases to amaze me that the world is brimming with so much talent, love and grace, it's hard to accept that there is so much sadness; how can there be room for that in a world that holds such gentle and caring souls, that so much beauty is part of the fabric of the world we all share. So very beautiful and touches my heart.
